Every fall and spring the turtles migrate. We live sandwiched between two lakes and so every time it cools off or warms up the turtles come. This year we had a neighbor that had lots of snapping turtles in his yard, so we helped them (the turtles)out a bit. they get scared and burrow, when they do that they are very hard to see. there are a few streets between the lakes, and we do not like finding the little guys in them. We also caught a little frog.

it is hard to tell here, but this guy was about a foot and a half long.
and just because it was funny, this is Esther protecting her eyes from a rather strong onion.
